From May 29 to June 4, 2021 Heidi and I had the great pleasure of attaining one of my bucket-list trips, a fully supported commercial rafting trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon! We chose Grand Canyon Whitewater as our outfitter for the 7 day trip from Lee’s Ferry to Mile 187 (Bar-10 Ranch!), and we are so happy with our choice. Our guides, Easy, Cora, Matt and Mike were an absolute pleasure and catered to everyone’s needs; they tirelessly worked from dawn until dusk, making certain that all 24 guests had a safe, fun and relaxing seven days on the river. All of our fellow guests were equally fun, and many of the images below are presented for them (some images specifically for a single person), as well as our guides.
The content on this page separated into 5 categories: 1) iPhone images of People; 2) iPhone images of Things, 3) Landscape imagery; 4) a YouTube video compilation of some fun parts of the trip, including two snippets from our adventure on Hance Rapid; and 5) Bar-10 Ranch Helicopter movie. Since this trip was an opportunity to spend some quality time with my lovely wife, I tried hard not to ‘work’ on this trip, and thus the landscape imagery (using the Canon R5) is not as comprehensive as it would otherwise be. Maybe another time… ;)

For those of you interested in seeing the old-school video I made moving rafters at Bar-10 Ranch for Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters back in the day, you can see it below. It’s a whopping 640×480 resolution, but it’s fun to see the trip down Whitmore Wash to the helipad.
